Because God our heavenly Father has told us to pray. The Bible teaches us to pray in appreciation for the blessings we have, as well as for help in the troubles we are struggling with.
Because Jesus, His Son and our Savior urges us to pray. Consider Matthew 7:7 . . . "ASK" is a passive action. "SEEK" is an earnest perseverance. "KNOCK" means to come to the presence of God.
Because His Holy Spirit, our Counselor reminds us to pray. The Holy Spirit lives within us and connects us to God so that when we pray, God hears our prayers.
