Who would believe that God would choose to save the world through a humble, suffering servant rather then a King? The idea is contrary to human pride and worldly thinking. But God often works in ways we don’t expect. The Messiah’s strength is shown by humility, suffering, and mercy. We’re all encouraged by a leader who stirs us to move ahead. God is that kind of a leader. He knows the future and His plans for us are good and full of hope. This does not mean that we will be spared pain, suffering, or hardship, but that God will see us through to a glorious conclusion.
"Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ." Philippians 1:6
