The Bible says in Proverbs 12 . . . "Deceit is in the heart of those who imagine evil."
And in Proverbs 18 we are warned . . . "Before destruction, the heart is haughty."
The real problem today is a heart problem. But God offers us a heart transplant.
In Ezekiel 11 we hear God say "I will take the stony heart from you and give you a heart of flesh."
That is rebirth. That is the mercy of God. That is why Christ died for us - to give us a new heart. That is why we must be born again. The Apostle Paul wrote . . . "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is your Lord, and you believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved."
God wants us to have a devoted heart, one that is a growing Christian. This is the hinge on the door of which the Kingdom of God swings. Scripture does not say that we can gain heaven by . . . ."Who so ever understands" or "Who so ever deserves." It is for those who believe in their heart that Jesus is their Lord and Savior. To do so, we must not conform to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of our heart mind and soul. It can be done - but will we? That is the question..
We thank Billy Graham for those words above (they are from his "Does God have you?" series).
