There is nothing wrong with our body, every part is created by God for a purpose. Scripture reminds us, "Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in the sins of this world, yield yourself onto God." This means that every part of our body - our hands, our eyes, our ears, our feet, should be yielded to God.
For if we yield to God, we learn from scripture and from Jesus - who was tempted by sin like us, but He was without sin. We remember that Jesus was filled with the Holy Spirit. He never argued with Satan, He quoted scripture to rebuke him. That is the reminder for us to pursue scripture, to fill our heart, mind and soul with it as our weapon (the Sword of the Spirit) against Satan and his followers.
For all of us are tempted by Satan but God has told us that we will not be tempted beyond what we can endure. It is not a sin to be tempted but it is a sin when we yield our body to sin. That is why we need to be yielded to God. So that we can fight the good fight.
We thank Billy Graham for those words above (they are from his "Does God have you?" series).
And for your awareness, we now are starting the season of Lent as we look forward to Easter 2021.
