Thank you Pastor Kenny Holm and Pastor Luke Lekander (from Our Savior's Lutheran Church) for their faith messages shared at the Monday Memorial Day Remembrance Event that was held at the Pine Ridge Cemetery. We also thank the Emily/Outing/Fifty Lakes Lakers Lions and the Ironton Legion Color Guard for this great tribute to those we pray for.

Many enjoy and pursue prayer daily but a lot of people don't. So, why pray?
Because God our heavenly Father has told us to pray. The Bible teaches us to pray in appreciation for the blessings we have, as well as for help in the troubles we are struggling with. Because Jesus, His Son and our Savior urges us to pray. Consider Matthew 7:7 . . . "ASK" is a passive action. "SEEK" is an earnest perseverance. "KNOCK" means to come to the presence of God. Because His Holy Spirit, our Counselor reminds us to pray. The Holy Spirit lives within us and connects us to God so that when we pray, God hears our prayers. [Now the above is the first of four questions that guides us about The Power of Prayer that is provided by the Midnight Call Ministries. Thank you for reading and considering the above.] You can, just concentrate on the four dots in the middle of this image for 33 seconds and then look at a white surface (ceilings usually work really good). Why would you want to? Somedays can be tough and a little boost in the spirit helps. Pursue your prayers and when needed, use the above to help remind you that . . .

The 3rd part of our Take Courage series challenges us to think to the end and to LISTEN. For what? Jesus is waiting, He loves us and says . . .
"Those that come to Me, I will not cast out" (John 6:37). That means you and me. Now, what should we do? We need to look at our life, to see our sins and guilt, to kneel at the Cross of Christ and to confess our sins. For when we do . . . "If we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ, His Son cleans us from all sin" (First John 1:7). Why do this now? Because we need to think to the end of our life, to consider our soul and what awaits us for eternity. If we confess that Christ is our Savior and pursue a growing faith - we will meet our faithful Redeemer with joy and happiness. (Thank you to 'Midnight Call Ministries' for these encouraging words above) The 2nd part of our Take Courage series challenges us to think to the end and to take a hard LOOK at our faith. For some, they feel as if they have fallen into a bottomless pit of trouble and despair. But know this - there is the one who even went further – Jesus Christ, who shed His blood for all of our sins.
Remember what 2nd Corinthians 5:19 teaches us (God was in Christ, reconciling the world onto Himself, nor imputing their trespasses unto them; and having committed unto us the word of reconciliation). Which challenges us all to look through to the end of our life – have we made the decision and commitment to Christ? And why is this so important? Who knows if our heart will beat tomorrow? Don't you want to feel confident about your time after your death? (Thank you to 'Midnight Call Ministries' for these encouraging words above) |
