If you are carrying a load of guilt because you are finding that you can’t be good enough for God, take another look at Jesus' death and what it means for you. Christ can heal your conscience and deliver you from frustration of trying to earn God’s favor. Bring your guilt ridden life to Christ, confess your inability to clean up your own conscience, ask him to forgive you and thank Him for His deliverance . God can forgive you and clear your record. Christ’s sacrifice transforms our lives and hearts and makes us clean on the inside. His sacrifice is infinitely more effective than animal sacrifices. No barrier of sin or weakness on our part can stifle his forgiveness. The Bible says: Accept Jesus sacrifice for your sin and let the Blood of Christ purify your conscience (Remember Always - Jesus Loves You).

Good afternoon church, I hope all is well. What a week this has been. The news wants only to scare and blame, when in truth no one knows just what is really going to happen. Be wise, have food and shelter, do what you can to help those needing a hand. Jesus reached out and healed a man with leprosy.
Our God is oh so bigger than the corona virus. There was plagues in Old Testament times that were used by God to turn the hearts of the people back to Him. I don’t know if this is from God, trying to change hearts to bring people back to Him. It does make me realize that life is precious and that we never know when ours will be over. Now is the time to share your faith. I think there is a lot of people searching to fill the hole in their heart, wouldn’t it be great to see this nation turn and follow Christ. We as believers do not need to worry, In Matthew 6:31-34 it says, So do not worry, saying, what shall we eat? Or what shall drink? Or What shall we wear? For the pagans run after all these things, and your Heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his Kingdom and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. We need to stay focused that God is in control. Our part is to do what God wants us to do, help the hurting, care for the sick and pray for the lost, keep the faith. We will get through this and be stronger than when we started. That’s a good thing. I know I am praying more when I hear about all the problems that are facing us today. The talk is that the situation is going to get worse before it gets better. Cindy is claiming this verse in Joshua, 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you where ever you go. This is not a solo mission, God will be there leading. Let’s be available so God has some one to lead. In Christ David Thompson Today, we build upon the message shared by our NCC Church Board Chairman (posted below)
When we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior, an exchange takes place. We give him our sins and he forgives us and makes us right with God (see 2 Corinthians 5:21). There is nothing we can do to earn this. Only through Christ can we be made right in God’s eyes. What an incredible bargain for us! But sadly, many still choose to pass by this gift to continue “enjoying “ their sin. Peace with God means that we have been reconciled with Him. Peace with God is possible only because Jesus paid the price for our sins through His death on the cross. We enjoy the peace that comes from being made right with God, but we still face daily problems that often help us grow. If we remember these two sides of the Christian life, we will not be discouraged as we face temptations and problems. Instead we will learn to depend on the power available to us from Christ who lives in us by the Holy Spirit (reference Romans 4:25 - 5:5). Hello church, as I type this I hope all is well with you. For Cindy and I were having some new things happening around us. Of all the things to hoard, toilet paper was not on our list. Never seen so many things close for two weeks or longer. Never seen the national government so against each other. Never been restricted to visit someone who is on the hospital. Never seen cruises grinding to a stop unless through terrorism and never had to follow a six foot social distance rule. Sadly, the one that I dislike the most is the closing of churches. Churches are there to help the hurting and scared. Show people that our God is bigger than all of this. Give to those in need and comfort the sick. Be a place of shelter for those lost. And many, many more things to help people no matter who they are. Our God knew all about the corona-virus when Moses was parting the Red Sea. God sent his son to walk this earth and save all who call on his name and believe he in the son of God. In Romans 8:35-39 it says; Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written; For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered. No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. We have a Great God and Savior. Let put our trust in Him. God is at work today, now, working to bring about His will here on earth. Our mission as believers is to seek out that mission and follow it. Let’s share our faith with people in the community. When you talk to someone, in person or on the phone share what God is doing in your life. Use the corona-virus to spread the gospel. I think people may be open to the gospel now that mans plans are coming up short. Share the peace that you have knowing that this is not your real home. Our church leadership decided to not have services as a precaution. Services will resume as soon as this scare is over. The church board is making plans to have preachers at the pulpit, sharing God’s word when Stanley’s last day as our pastor comes. The board will be meeting as soon as we can to make sure our mission in Outing continues. Our church is not the little white building on the hill, our church is people who love the lord and want to serve Him in the Outing area. Pray, study and share the good news of Jesus. David Thompson Church Chairman And as a closing note . . .
Cindy and I have been attending here for three years. During that time Stanley was our pastor. We want to say thanks Stanley and Sheila for bringing Gods word to us. For sharing your lives and being a friend and brother. My God bless you both on your next adventure serving Christ. For when you are serving God, you are like King David, unstoppable. David & Cindy The law cannot justify and save-it can only condemn.
Breaking even one commandment brings a person under condemnation. And because everyone has broken the commandments, everyone stands condemned. The law can do nothing to reverse the condemnation. (Romans 3:20-24). But Christ took the curse of the law upon himself when he hung on the cross. He did this so we wouldn’t have to bear our own punishment. The only condition is that we accept Christ’s death on our behalf as the means to be saved. (Colossians 1:20– 23) Trying to be right with God on our own effort doesn’t work. Good intentions such as “I’ll do better next time” or “I’ll never do that again” usually end up in failure.
Powers are unseen forces of evil in the universe, forces like Satan and his fallen angels (see Ephesians 6:12) in Christ we are super conquerors, and his love will protect us from any such forces. Romans 8:35-39
When some people learn that they are saved by God through faith, they start to worry. “Do I have enough faith?” they wonder is my faith strong enough to save me? These people miss the point, it is Jesus Christ who saves us, not our feelings or actions, and he is strong enough to save us no matter how weak our faith is. Jesus offers us salvation as a gift because he loves us, not because we have earned it through our powerful faith. What, then, is the role of faith? Faith is believing and trusting in Jesus Christ and reaching out to accept his wonderful gift of salvation. (Rom. 4:5)
What can we do to get rid of guilt? King David was guilty of terrible sins and yet he experienced the joy of forgiveness. We, too, can have this joy when we (1) quit denying our guilt and recognize that we have sinned. (2) admit our guilt to God and ask for his forgiveness, and (3) let go of guilt and believe that God has forgiven us. (Rom. 4:6-8) |
