- Do I believe there will be a Rapture and a time of Tribulation (the End Times)?
- Am I a person of faith and if yes, will my pursuit of my faith prepare me for the end times?
- Am I doing anything to help my extended family and friends in regard to end time awareness?
For all of you following along with us, our ongoing Bible study of the Book of Revelation - via Dr, David Jeremiah's study titled "Agents of the Apocalypse" continues. And for you just joining us, please see the following as well and the previous week's blogs - we're recapping summary points on the key figures as described in Revelation. From Revelation 12: 1-17 we learn of Satan's power, partners and purpose and in the end times he will launch an aggravated assault (across all of mankind), he will launch an anti-Semitic assault (against all Jews) and an angry assault (focused on the 144,000 Jewish witnesses). Over simplified, horrible times ahead. The good news, Israel will not be left at the mercy of Satan's wrath but all who will live during the Tribulation times will see thousands of people die across this world. We have been warned, we have been given a great insight as to what will unfold. Some questions we all should ask of ourselves:

Greetings everyone! Our Weekly (this last Wednesday) Bible study is now into our 4th week study of the Book of Revelation as we have followed Dr. David Jeremiah's program titled: Agents of the Apocalypse. Thank you for considering the summing points that we are sharing and our thanks again to Dr. Jeremiah for giving us this study. Now, please consider the following 'points to ponder'.
Why will Moses and Elijah (as we believe) be the Two Witnesses of the Tribulation? They stand for the Law and the Prophets and their power will be given for one thousand two hundred and sixty days. They will speak out against ungodliness and the judgment to come. Their power will be demonstrated by their preaching (of Jesus the Christ) and by their plagues unleashed (because of continued unbelieving they will unleash the plague of death, the plague of drought and the plague of disease).
Yet they will be killed - how? The Antichrist (the beast) will overcome them and will kill them. Sadly, the world will see their lifeless bodies that will lie in the street and yes, their enemies will celebrate. But, after three and a half days, God will breath life back into their bodies; they will stand and fear will be felt by those who were against them because they will see them then ascend into the clouds. So why (you may wonder) should you know of these Two Witnesses and of the Exile, the Martyrs, the 144,000 briefly described in the weeks previous (scroll down)? If you happen to be there during the time of Tribulation, you will see these events described unfold. You then or now - can decide upon your belief. We assume you'll join us in believing that Jesus is our Savior (it is good to know). Our NCC Wednesday night Bible study of the Book of Revelation continues with a focus on Rev. 7:1-8 and Rev. 14:1-5. From those verses, Dr. David Jeremiah shared the traits of these 144,000 Jewish evangelists who will preach to the world during the Tribulation. In those days, millions will turn to Christ. What should you know of them?
Strong in their Faith (millions will respond to their preaching during the Tribulation), Spared from Judgment (they will be immune from the judgments that will unfold), Successful in their Ministry (though many will be saved spiritually, not all will be saved physically), Set apart for the Kingdom (each of those from the 12 Tribes will have their own geographical boundaries assigned in the Millennium), and they will Singing a new song in Heaven (they walked through the judgments, they experienced the carnage and destruction of the Tribulation, their song will be unique in honor and tribute to Christ our Savior).
All the above gives us insight to a time - we as Christians will not have to experience. What then can we and should we do now while we have our time here on this earth?
Second, we need to understand the context of today's study (those Martyrs as described in Revelation). By reading Rev. 6:9-11; we know that after the Rapture, there will be no Christians on our planet - the martyrs of this time are the non-Christians at the beginning of the Tribulation who hear the Gospel, believe it and who are then martyred for their faith. As to why should we want to understand who these people are? Because if you are a non-Christian living today, you could be one of those living at the start of the time of Tribulation. Yes there are thousands across this world who do not believe in what the Book of Revelation states. For those, I assume you will not complain about whatever unfolds in the time to come. But, if you would like to understand the End Times better - so that you can decide the journey you wish, know this.
To close, thank you for pondering the martyrs of the last two thousand years and of those that will die over the untold years to come. Their sacrifices are huge but they will be rewarded. You may or may not have to make that type of decision someday but each day we must decide what we will do for our faith. Decide well! And remember, if you would like to join this Bible Study at NCC, our next session is Wed the 12th.
