This is the twentieth book of the New Testament and the second from the last section of the Bible, known as General Epistles. The summary is:
Written by the half-brother of Jesus c. 48 AD as a 'Letter to the Jewish Believers.' He knows for them (and not to unlike for us now) that life is hard and can be very challenging. He reminds them/us that despite the difficulties we have, we can trust God and grow in our faith as Jesus taught and wants us to understand. This letter is wisdom teachings, like the Book of Proverbs.
From it we learn to live one's faith within the Christian community (faith without works is dead) and to grow in faith.
"Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood
the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love Him.” (James 1:12)
