As for this last section of the Bible - known as General Epistles & Revelation.
This book and the next seven books that follow it were written by the apostles to provide the early Christians with guidance and encouragement through the prosecution and challenges they were experiencing. They are followed by the Book of Revelation which reminded the early churches (and us) that God is in control and He will victor over evil.
Hebrews (Book 19 of the NT)
Although not positively known but it is assumed to have been written by Paul c. 60 – 69 AD as a 'Letter to Hebrew Believers.' In it, it was to help the Jewish Christians (and us today) to know that Jesus is the Messiah and despite any persecutions we may have, we can trust God and have faith that we will have an eternal life with Jesus. It is in knowing this, we should not turn from God, and to know that Jesus' death and resurrection reconciled us with God our heavenly Father.
