Message: “Our way or His Way?”
Words were shared based on John 14:1-3 and 6...
That we can be comforted that Jesus is our Savior, that our place in heaven is waiting for us and that if we believe in Him, we will try each day to live our life based on decisions that are more in support of His way verses on our way
(and closed on these "what ifs..." for us to ponder).
What if I made more time in the morning to say my prayers and to read God’s Word, would my day start better? What if I drank more water and less coffee or ate a little less and walked a bit more, would I be healthier? What if I loved my loved ones more and told them I did, would I be nicer? What if I made some time in the mid part of my day to thank God for my family and work, would my afternoon go better? What if I argued and complained less and encouraged and complimented others more, would I feel positive? What if I rearranged my time and did some things with my family or friends, would they enjoy it? What if I not only said my prayers at night but thanked God so much for his blessings, would I sleep better? What if I thought and did less of things “my way” and thought more and did more of “God’s way”, would I see a change? What if my church congregation thought and did these types of “what ifs”, would we all have a greater impact for God?
Hymnal: # 373 "I Surrender All"
End of service
As you pursue this week ahead, please remember. . .
Because God is in control of history, he is never frustrated by any turn of events or human action.
He is able to save us from the evil of this world and deliver us from sin and death.
Because we trust God , we are not to fear what people may do to us, instead, we are to be confident in God’s control. It is not enough to know that God is in control; we must act with self-confidence and courage to follow God’s guidance. We can demonstrate wisdom by giving respect to what is true and good and by humbly standing against what is wrong.
