Sermon notes: Pastor Stanley reminded us, we have a hope and that is Christ Jesus. And that the Bible is our guide for our journey of life and growth in faith. Reading it gives us help for the challenges that unfold in our lives and teaches us: the story of God, His Son and Holy Spirit, of creation, of sin, of forgiveness and reconciliation, of faith, hope, love and peace. He then lead us in review from the Book of Revelation, of the seven churches described. The door is open before us, we are challenged to stay steadfast in love for God and others. If you have any questions on this week’s sermon, let us know (use our Contact Form) and we’ll reply as quick as we can.
Hymnal #372: “Have Thine Own Way, Lord” (Howard)
And for the week ahead, remember. . .
LIFE IS SHORT, IT IS “LIKE A BREATH” AND THAT OUR
“DAYS ARE LIKE A PASSING SHADOW.”
OUR LIFE IS “LIKE THE MORNING FOG — IT’S HERE A LITTLE WHILE, THEN IT’S GONE”. BECAUSE LIFE IS SHORT, LIVE FOR GOD WHILE YOU HAVE THE TIME. DON’T WASTE YOUR LIFE BY SELECTING AN INFERIOR PURPOSE THAT HAS NO LASTING VALUE. ONLY GOD CAN MAKE YOUR LIFE WORTHWHILE, PURPOSEFUL, AND MEANINGFUL. HE’S COMING SOON.
