It was written in Caesarea by Luke (the Physician) during the time-frame of 60-62 AD for the Greeks (often thought also for the Gentiles) who were wanting to learn and to believe in Christ. For example, in this book we have insights to John the Baptist, the foretelling of and the account of Jesus' birth, of His ministry, the healing He did, His parables told, of the Transfiguration of Jesus, His insights given on the end times, His betrayal by Judas, His arrest, crucifixion, death and resurrection, and closing with his accession to Heaven
