Our review of the Bible continues with a look at the twentieth book,
the Book of Proverbs.
the Book of Proverbs.
What is it all about?
This book like the Book of Job is focused on the guidance they share.
It is outlined as follows: Chapters 1 - 9 are focused on wisdom and folly contrasted. Chapters 10 – 24 are know as wisdom shared and set in order by Solomon. Chapters 25 – 29 are known as wisdom shared by Solomon but set in order by the men of Hezekiah. And the last two chapters are attributed to Agur (chapter 30) and King Lemuel (chapter 31).
Why should we know this? From this book we learn to pursue wisdom as a way of strengthening our faith by learning and living a life that honors God.
