Our review of the Bible continues by looking at the Book of Leviticus
(the third book of the Bible). So then . . .
Who wrote Leviticus and when?
It is the third of five books attributed to Moses during the time the Israelites were in the desert, preparing to enter the Promised Land which is estimated to around the 1415 - 1410 BC time frame.
What is it all about?
It covers the time when Israelites had rebelled against God; they knew they had sinned and Moses shares with them 'The Law' that is given to them from God. With this information, God is teaching them how 'sacrifice' is required to atone for the sins they have committed. He [God] has given them instructions for their daily life as their wandering in the desert prepares them for entry into the Promised Land.

Now we have an additional opportunity to add upon the information shared above. The following link is to a video clip that summarizes the Book of Leviticus and a way that gives you some visuals to go with a review of this book (of the rituals and feasts that God wanted them to pursue, of the priests to be ordained and in understanding impurity and purity).
Overview: Leviticus (8 minutes)
This is interesting in helping us to understand that God wants to remove sin from us so that we can be with Him. Thanks for considering this, we would be curious to see your feedback.
