Our review of the Bible continues with our start in the 'History' section of the Bible. The Book of Joshua is the sixth book of the Bible and our summary is:

We learn of the river Jordan being parted for them to enter the land; how God brings down the walls of Jericho for them; how they first lose the battle for Ai, then they repent and God then gives them that victory. It shows that when the Israelites are faithful to God, He ensures their victories and enables them to enter the Promised Land as He had promised.
It ends with the deaths of Joshua and Eleazar, along with the burial of Joseph's bones at Shechem.
Why should we know this? From it we can learn that God hates moral corruption. And that we must decide if we will trust God and follow His ways, to receive His blessings or to be on our own outside His will.
