We've now reviewed the first 5 books of the Bible, along with a review of the 19th book.
Our goal with each review is to give a few brief words of summation, along with a video to help raise an added perspective on what these books cover. The challenge for us all is to start with a good awareness and to then pursue a greater knowledge. These reviews are the start of the awareness and all we ask is that you pursue that deeper knowledge by reading and studying the Bible in follow up as best you can, when you can. Thanks for your awareness and support as we continue forward.

These next twelve books are referred to the 'History' for the Israelites. This Bible section contains the books we know as: Joshua, Judges, Ruth, 1 Samuel and 2 Samuel, 1 Kings and 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles and 2 Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, and Esther | For us Christians, it is for us to learn how the Israelites entered the Promised Land, how after Joshua, they as a nation were starting to struggle and the leaders who arose to help get them out of trouble. Then starting in the book of Ruth, we see the origins of David's story as their nation positions itself for the Kings who will lead them. We then learn of Israelites good and bad Kings, of the fall of their nation and of their entry into captivity. |
