As this week unfolds, ponder . . .
Christianity Has Been Found too good to be true and therefore not really tried enough. “What a bad person I am,” we moan secretly to ourselves. All of which adds up to a lack of faith. Faith doesn’t mean being perfect. Faith will come to mean, pursuing a daily personal relationship with a God who loves you so much that your sins have meaning only if you dwell on them all the time. Only if you insist on not believing that your sins are forgiven the instant you say sincerely to God, “I’m sorry.” Sinfulness isn’t our biggest problem; refusing to believe in God’s love and forgiveness is. Jesus was born to demonstrate God's love for us. He is the reason we can repent and believe the good news.
