Message: “Heading for Jerusalem: The Vine”
Sermon notes: Pastor Stanley's sermon was on understanding the vine;
how God is the root, Jesus is the vine and the Holy Spirit is the vine dresser.
We are reminded - as we read from John 15, that the branches (us), are pruned so that the bad growth is disposd and that the good can fully develop and to grow stronger. The 'pruning' that we go through may not be easy but when we stay in faith and grow in faith, we see God's blessings.
Let us know if you have any questions or would like to know more about
Pastor Stanley's sermon.
Hymnal #260: “Just As I Am” (Howard)
End of service
And remember the following as this next week unfolds:
We are to love each other as Jesus loved us, and he loved us enough to give his life for us. We may not have to die for someone, but there are other ways to practice sacrificial love; listening, helping, encouraging, giving. Christians will get plenty of hatred from the world;
from each other we need love and support.
