Sermon Notes: Pastor Stanley's words prompted us to think back to over
2,000 years ago, to the time of Jesus and those 10 lepers who were
healed by Him. The challenges of today may not be so unlike those times.
Why did only one come back to Jesus, to thank and praise God?
If today we saw Jesus perform His miracles, if we heard Him preach,
would we thank and praise God?
Some faith journeys are harder than others.
Regardless, our relationship with our triune God is the key.
How is yours?
Hymnal #361: “Near the Cross” (Howard)
End of service
And remember as this next week unfolds:
All believers are God’s chosen people, and all share the responsibility of representing him to the world.
One day God will bring all His faithful people together.
We need not fear because: (1) God is with us,
(2) God has established a relationship with us, and (3) God gives us assurance of His strength,
help, and victory over sin and death.
When your great-grandparents lived, God worked personally in the lives of his people.
When your great-grandchildren live, God will still work personally in the lives of His people. He is the only one who sees 100 years from now as clearly as 100 years ago. When you are concerned about the future, talk with God, who knows the generations of the future as well as He knows the generations of the past.
